Sweet Natas (and Street Cars)

In May, I went on a vacation to Portugal. I usually try to vacation somewhere close to home, in a location I can reach by train, because I fly quite a bit for work and I fear for my environmental karma (oh, who am I kidding — that's shot anyway). So going to the airport and boarding a plane simply for leisure felt very unusual and luxurious to me.

On a technical side note, the (seemingly great) quality of my iPhone 6 camera lured me into leaving my SLR at the hotel on some days. I thought: Ah, it’s too heavy, I don’t feel like schlepping it around! I’ll just snap away with my phone. This is my vacation after all!

But when I came back home and looked at those files on my computer, I was disappointed. I regretted not keeping my DSLR closer, and vowed to always bring it with me in the future.
